You know it has to be done. Favorite superhero. I'm gonna have to go with the overused Wolverine simply because of his attitude. Man is just a badass and there is nothing more left to say about it.
Oh, and I can't think of a single DC Comics guy I like with maybe the exception of Batman. Problem is, Robin kills it for me and makes Batman look less tough.
Wolverine, got it bub?

One of the best comic series of all time was when he died. Should've stayed that way.

Mahatma Gandhi.
Later in life a skinny and frail fellow, but he managed to beat one of the then greatest nations by shaking a stick at them, literally.
How's that for super powers?

*cough* I meant comic book hero, but since you came up with such a great example I will let you slide on that one Volkher.

Yeah, I got that, but I'm more into real-life heroes. ;)

how about Chessmaster 2000 and his sidekick speak-and-spell from the Goats comic strip?

Wow Arjan, I don't know how to compete with that.

When I was a kid I loved the DC character Firestorm. Like Taskmaster, but he's used as a villian, more or less. Howard the Duck maybe?

I liked Superman as a kid - Supergirl made me embarressed about my gender though. Does Count Ducula count - he's a super hero of erm sorts ;)

My favourite would have to be the one who ruined Batman for Scrivs: Robin. Or Nightwing. But probably the current Robin. Smart kid, trying to balance everything all at once. But I'm still about 3 years behind in my comic book reading. :(
Then again, there's always Impulse, the little spaz.

There's soooo many to choose from but I'd have to say Wolverine. Something about that whole healing factor, enhanced senses and adamantium bones thing just sounds appealing to me. Sure there's no x-ray vision but when you can sneak up on someone the way Wolvy can what does it matter.

Spiderman for sure. How fun would that be just zipping through a big city on some web and being able to climb walls effortlessly.

I'd have to say... Super Scrivs. Yeah. He's the best superhero of them all. Well, maybe not Superman. But close.

Well ender, to catch you up a little, Impulse is about to become the Flash! As for my fav, it was probably Batgirl, the newer one, not the Barbara Gordon one, until she went psycho.

Super Scrivs gets the ladies. Superman leaves the planet when he gets close to one. Therefore Super Scrivs has more courage than the "world's greatest superhero".

I'll vote for Animal Man. He can have the power of any animal--including the time perception of small insects--so he can think much faster than mere mortals!

DC: Toss up between Superman and Batman.
Marvel: Spider-man.
I used to despise Superman (just like scrivs) until recently. They've taken him back to his roots.

Spiderman for the fact that for a superhero, he's your average geek turned hero and Franklin Richards for the fact that...who wouldn't want the ability to alter and create reality?

To me, the best heroes are the ones that are put through the most hell. Spiderman is one, but my choice is Daredevil. He is sort of Marvel's Batman, but without the ward and the gadgets and the money. He fights in the alleys and gets his ass handed to him on a regular basis, but he dishes out even more. He also has a "real" life, unlike Batman's which is more or less a facade. Every woman he has ever loved has been killed and his father as well. You can relate to him because he doesn't have the omnipotent Superman type powers. Daredevil for sure.

Never understood how Batman is so unstoppable when you have superheros with crazier skills getting their asses kicked left and right.
