Last week's options weren't all that great and this week it doesn't seem to get any better. Seems like all the must-see movies are waiting for the Summer season to start and for now we will have to do with the garbage and the possible hidden gem. This week's openings are:
- The Invisible
- The Condemned
- Kickin' It Old Skool
- Next
I will be going to see none of them.

They all sound terrible. But I'll probably be seeing Next though (on video), as it's an adaptation of a book by Phillip K. Dick.

Agreed. Next is the only one of the bunch I'd consider spending time on, and still, not in a theater.

Well Scrivs, since you need to make other plans, how about checking your email ;)
On the movie front, I'd like to see Kickin' It Old Skool for the silly dumb factor.

and bam! the second I post my comment, Scrivs replied to his email.
Man, he's just good like that.
I'd give you some points Scrivs but you're pretty flush it seems at the moment.

Nothing to write home about from the theatre.

We are fortunate to have possibly one of the most awesome movie theatres in the country here in Richmondland.
They used to show Midnight movies every Fri & Sat. night. They've stopped for now, but will probably pick it back up again in the summer.
Too bad there's nothing worth seeing there right now either.

Our movie theater is crap. When Casino Royale came out, I had to go to a bigger town to watch it.
Nothing coming out this week is worth going to a theater and watching it. Luckily for me, however, the manager of the theater is one of my best friends. We get to go to the movies for free a lot. Plus we even get free pop corn and soda!
I think I'm going to go see Vacancy. I heard it wasn't that bad.

Philip K. Dick? Nick Cage? With my Military discount, it will be worth checking out. I need something to hold me until Spider Man 3 comes out. By the way, does anyone else have a special t-shirt they wear to the movies?

I won't be going to the movies this weekend. Nothing appeals to me, same old, same old. I am an avid movie fan, and go to the movies (normally speaking) once or twice a week, but there is nothing new out that i want to see.

It's sad, really, how little is out there to see right now. I want to see something really, really funny that doesn't involve ice skaters and that has just not been possible this month. Our solution was to rent a Fish Called Wanda and that worked okay, but it is just not the same as going to a movie theater and sitting around with a lot of other people, all laughing until your stomach hurts. And Josh, your movie theater maybe crap, but at least the food's free. Lucky you.
