Does anyone know how I would go about finding other "authors" to my film blog?

Hi,
I've been contacted by a number of people about being a contributing author on their sites / blogs.
Most of these people who contact me also mention how they found my blog:
* some were searching on blogsearch.google.com (which I like a lot!)
* some came through on google.com
* some came through other websites that link to mine
I'd say search google's blogsearch for film or whatever keywords relate to your blog and start contacting those authors. Google search (not the blogsearch) will give you more random / wild results, so blogsearch may be your best starting off point. Then when you find some film related blogs, check out their links for other blogs that you haven't come across yet, and contact those authors as well.
I think one thing you'll need to do with a multi author blog is give these other authors incentives for posting on your blog. If you have ads, perhaps an ad revenue sharing of some sorts. If your blog doesn't have any revenue income then you'll have to get creative. :)
One thing about ad revenue you can look in to is this:
Pretty much everyone has google adsense account now. However, you can only display ads using a single adsense ID code on a page. For example, if your google adsense code is A and your other author is Z, you can't display A adsense ads on the same page as Z adsense ads.
But you can do some scripting/development so that any article written by author A display's A's adsense code. Any articles from author Z will display Z's adsense code on the page. As author A, you wouldn't make any income when someone clicks Z's article and vice versa. But if you own the site you can put your A ads on any pages not linked to an author, like the main page, category pages, etc.
I think this is a great idea for multi blog sites .. I think it gives great incentive for people to partner up. With more authors you'll have more content on the site, which means more incoming links, more search results, etc. You get to keep all your revenues from your A adsense code, and Z gets to keep all his -- no need to develop some kind of revenue sharing plan, as adsense does it for you.
This method of displaying author Z's ads on Z's articles will take some customized scripting/development work but shouldn't be very difficult to implement.
Just something to think about. Hope it helps!
Best Regards,
Nick
