There has been a lot of talk recently in the notes about CD and music collecting.
Not only do I love music, I'm really into movies, so over the years anything I had on tape, I've tried to locate on DVD and well you guest it, my collection has grown and it gets hard to keep track of all of the movies.
The solution is a program I found about a year ago called DVD Profiler which allows you to catalog all your movies, stores box art, liner notes and even tells you about hidden easter eggs with your movies. You can even share your list online with friends.
It's so easy to use. All you do is enter the barcode from your DVD and the program does the rest. Of course you need to check for updates every now and then but it's a great and free program I think.
Anyway, I wanted to share it with the 9rules and notes peeps, so check it out.
I'm still entering my movies, but here is a link to my partial DVD collection.

I've been with the Profiler pretty much from the start, but to be quite honest, I've sucked when it comes to updating my collection. It really is simple (enter the barcode, and that's it), but somehow I haven't kept up with my growing collection. I always seem to have more pressing things to do. ;)

deus62: I've been using DVD Profiler for a long while too... I really like the hand held version. Makes it nice when I go movie shopping so I don't purchase a duplicate which has happened in the past.
I just pull out my Palm, bring up the profiler and can see what I have or don't have.
Comes in handy when Target or Costco has DVD's for cheap, like under $10.00 USD a piece.
But like you, I'm a little behind in adding some of my movies to the profiler. Maybe I'll play catch up this weekend?
