Despite how disturbing/stupefying we seem to have thought his video, Chris Crocker is poised to get his very own TV show.
What target audience do you think they have in mind, willing to watch a full half-hour (or, eek!, 60 minutes) of him?

Yeah, that's been under discussion for a while. It will be interesting to see because there are more saying they wouldn't steadily watch it than would. Out of curiosity I'd check it out...but I think I'd have to shoot myself if I found myself wanting to watch it regularly. I have a confession - his beauty warps my brain. On some of his videos he's model-type beautiful. I keep looking at how he does his makeup...
An interesting point: if he has his own TV show, will he still do the videos? If he does, MySpace and You Tube are going to lose a bunch of traffic....

Can I have my own TV show too? First the Cavemen, then this idiot. Who can't get a TV show nowadays?
I want to see ScrivsTyme TV! Now THAT would be some quality television!

I agree that he is spectacularly beautiful, but in his MySpace videos (or at least the ones that I've seen), he seems to be a little too... [searching for the right word]... extreme for me. I might tune in for a minute or two, but watching his Britney video was painful enough; I can't imagine ever watching/listening to his voice for more than 2 or 3 minutes.

Kill your televisions! I laid mine to rest a long time ago. Took me years to get over the withdrawal symptoms but with the Internet as a substitute patch I made it. Now all I have to figure out is how to get over the Internet and then I'll be free!

Worse things have happened. Morbid curiosity is all it instills in me. If people start telling me about what they saw the other night on the chris crocker show though... I might go be a hermit... or go on a killing rampage. I'll flip a coin.

I have no idea how to determine what audience this will appeal to, but I will not be part of it.

Hollywood has run out of ideas.
