It's almost impossible to have a Tim Burton film without Johnny Depp and this one is no exception. It has the classic Burton feel, but get this...it's a musical. Yes, Johnny Depp sings and the characters seem off the wall. Not sure how this one will play off, but I must say that I am greatly intrigued by it.
Even has Borat/Ali G/Sacha Baron Cohen in it.

I've seen the musical and I was actually a fan of it (come on, a demon barber?). I have high hopes for the movie.

Brilliant. Sondheim is certainly my favourite musical composer and Burton one of my favourite directors. Cast, design, etc. all look good too. I'm going to love this.
Of course, as ever we only get to see it over a month after it premiers. Typical.

Looks to be quite intriguing. Not too sure about the musical aspect of it though. In fact, the trailer does not give the impression that the movie is a musical in the sense of, say, Moulin Rouge, or other similar musicals.
Either way, methinks that the combination of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp should make this a worthy watch no matter what.

To be honest, I felt the same about that trailer. Then again, you have to realize that Moulin Rouge was more of a musical extravaganza: music was key there (like Chicago).
Sondheim musicals are never all-through composed (continuous music) and the songs themselves are often low-key and intimate. Maybe they felt that wouldn't work for a trailer.
