I've been using Muxtape now for a week or so; this is the second muxtape I've done thus far.

I haven't been able to listen to it in Firefox or IE, but have no problem listening to it in Safari. Weird!

That's weird, I never had that issue. I know they have some % thing next to the track time under the name, but it's still not that intuitive at first.

Okay I finally got some songs to play, but it is quite annoying that there is no indication that the songs are ready to play. I just look at the screen and continue to click till eventually all the songs are loaded I guess then I get to play. It is one thing to simplify a service and another to take away stuff that is needed.

Not sure whether we'll see a lawsuit here.

There's tons of music streaming sites these days (like Audiomonster, Deezer, Hypem) and this doesn't even let you download (still possible via Hypem).

I think this deluge of similar sites is a clear sign that the industry is losing this.

That said, it looks cool, but I still prefer Mixwit (which I mentioned earlier above).

Mixwit allows you to create multiple tapes and you don't have to upload the music, they search the net for you and stream it.

Haven't created a mixtape myself, but played around with the site some and listened to others'.

I find it fascinating, because as I just finished writing about over here, I doubt the site will be able to last too long before lawsuits hit. However, if the creators (whoever they may be) play it right, I really don't think it matters as far as their success is concerned. After all the publicity Muxtape just got, they're pretty much set as far as having an audience to launch something else for. A lawsuit (as long as it doesn't actually get to court and/or they end up paying much) would probably even help that cause some.

Takes guts for sure.

I've been hearing great things about this site so far, but when I tried it early in the week I clicked on a song and nothing happened. Now that I click on your mixtape and a song...nothing happens. Am I missing something or do you just make a list of songs for a mixtape?

Through a few people I follow on Twitter, I found Muxtape where you can create and share mixtapes. You just upload your mp3's and your mixtape is created. I made one earlier of just some laid back hip hop that I was listening to, half actual songs, half instrumentals. I like that you can listen to tracks and not just see the listing of songs.

I'd be curious to hear others mixtapes, so share them if you have them.
