I love my music, and I love to explore new genres and bands/groups. If you have any good music to recommend (any at all) please say so here. Also, anyone heard of Jonezetta?

frotzed: I like them, very catchy music and lyrics, although they did cop alot of criticism for being homosexual and supporting the gay community through their music. I don't mind that, I'm not a homophobe, just thought I'd add something slightly interesting.

Actually the story I've heard is that he won't answer whether he's gay or not — why should he catch flack for being gay when it's a non-issue for the Scissor Sisters, Bloc Party, Elton John, the B-52s, Grizzly Bear, and R.E.M. (just to name a few?)

Anyway, I do agree on the Justice tip, the (cross) album is probably my favorite of the year. Also liking Johnny Boy's "You Are the Generation..." The Long Blondes and Pela.

Billie the Vision and the Dancers.
Swedish band apparently. Great fun. Give away their music. So I bought a T-shirt.

I recommend just going to all the local festivals and gigs you can. There's talent everywhere at those kind of things.

(die) Pilot Fantastic. A little bit folk, a lot of mellow alternative rock. Really reminds me of the early days of U2 in some songs.

I'll suggest some artists within different genre's that I currently dig.
POP: Lily Allen
ROCK: Daughtry
R&B: Joss Stone
DANCE: Above & Beyond
ALTERNATIVE: Snow Patrol
But I'd really recommend Daughtry. Even though he didn't win "American Idol" I still like his sound, well his band's sound. Look at "Crashed" and "Over You". My two favorite tracks of his.

Hmm, seems as if my suggestion was nuked. And I put some time into writing that.

@Kronomancer - we try to limit responses that go back to the blogger's blog because they end up being a spam haven. Feel free to link to the band's site. :)

If you haven't given Johnny Cash a chance, he is well worth the time. Otherwise check out the Japanese band Rip Slyme and their song "Super Shooter"

Tyme, I think you've got the wrong idea... but I don't imagine it matters. See ya.

@Kronomancer: No, I get it but your response broke the ToS, which is why it was reported. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask (send a PM instead of posting here).
Bringing this back on topic...I'm going to give Mika a listen. I keep hearing he's great but never took the time to listen.

I am currently obsessed with Herbert's latest, "Scale" and haven't been able to take it out of the stereo.

Mute Math and Minus the Bear will rock your eardrums. I highly recommend those two.
