I'm going to a concert tonight at a tiny venue, and I hope to get an album signed.
I was wondering...should I get the CD disk signed, or the album liner notes?

I'd go with the album art.
The CD will gets lots of play and more wear than the art will :)

I second the album art. :) Plus, you'll be able to see it through the plastic cover.

Would you still recommend getting the album art signed if I said that I never use the CD as I have it ripped to my iPod?

Get them both signed and you're done ;)

If you can get them both signed (sometimes you can, sometimes not), then go for it. If not, I still stick with the album art, yes.

Good idea...I'll try to get both, but happily settle for the album artwork. Thanks!

I definitely read this, "Want to get singed?" and I couldn't help but click...
Anyway, seems you've already made your decision, but I'm with the rest of them: definitely album art if only one is allowed.

Yep, definitely album art in my mind as well. Sometimes the ink on the CD can get chipped off easily with a finger nail or accidentally scraping the CD on the CD player tray. But it is generally more durable on the paper.
Enjoy the gig.

I would go for the actual cd. That's what I had Five Iron Frenzy sign for their last show. I think it looks nicer. Just make a copy of the cd and you'll be set.

If you never use the cd then getting the cd signed would make no difference would it? Try to get the ipod signed instead... :)
FWIW I'd go for the art too
