For those not in gangs, its just another avenue to perceived coolness. Look back over the last twenty years and you will find many examples of things that you can now look back and say ... "What the hell was I thinking?"

Well, I honestly see how it's germane other than as a gimmick to increase sales with the gay community. Honestly, after reading the books any gay references between Big D. and that other dude just were not apparent in my opinion, if at all.
"Damnit Jim! I'm a doctor not an escalator!"
-Doctor "Bones" McCoy, Star Trek the Original Series
We just discovered it this year too, and I agree! Its one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. Danny DeVito looks like he has so much fun on that show. I highly recommend it.
I am a sucker for cyberpunk, tech, and ninja and magic anime. I agree that character development is a must, decent voice and sound adds to my enjoyment. Some of my favorites (please no eye rolling) are:
-Spirited Away
-Castle in the Sky
-Howl's Moving Castle
-Appleseed
-Ghost in Shell movies and series.
-Pom-Poko
-Gantz
-Ninja Scroll (sorry, campy but I like)
-Vampire Hunter D
-Tenchi
I am still pretty young in my anime appreciation, its just a great medium and I have a friend that is addicted so I pretty much can watch most anything which is cool.
Any suggestions?
Damn.. that was flippin sweet!
I think it looks pretty funny too, but then again I am almost 38 and do like cheese.
Really looking forward to seeing this one. Super Troopers was funny as hell, if this is anything half as good I'll be a happy camper for sure!
If you haven't given Johnny Cash a chance, he is well worth the time. Otherwise check out the Japanese band Rip Slyme and their song "Super Shooter"
Ninja's have leet bra removing skills.
If you really want to get the full star wars experience, buy every rendition of 4,5,6 on VHS and DVD, then move on to 1-3 DVD releases/re-releases. Anything less won't give you the necessary love/hate relationship with Lucas that is so critical.
The people who contribute the least amount to society but have money should be reviled not catered to like the suckling pigs that they are.
Oddly enough, I loved the third movie. Didn't seem too long to me and I liked how things were tied together.
Saw Stomp in Chicago, it was an amazing experience. Brings back fond memories.
Oh man, Goonies action figures are the first sign of the apocalypse.
Jack's joker was a product of the campy nature of his Batman movie. Put Jack as the joker in a dark bad ass movie and he would be fantastic. Jack can do dark, Jack can do badass.. Anyone remember "The Shining"?
Great episode, loved it. But why is it every time a person has a sword they stop after the initial stike. Decapitation.. you would think Hiro would know that...
LorriM: Wow, that would be too cool! Sulu is the man.
Tyme : I can see how that would be really difficult professionally and more importantly emotionally, although I would question the emotional maturity of the person doing it to you.
It's just such a weak and pathetic way for a person to try and make themselves feel better about their own lack of skills.
Only thing you can do is keep kicking ass and taking names.
Tyme: Its an age old formula perfected in the early days of Porky's and Revenge of the Nerds.
Forumula to follow:
Plotline + Boobs = Male Interest/Revenue
Excellent distillation of the most interesting parts of that movie. I was not a fan of it when I saw it the first time. But after watching that montage I am thinking it might be like a reverse Independence Day..
I saw ID in the Theatre and thought it was amazing, one of the best sci-fi movies ever. When it came to DVD I rented it and couldn't believe I actually thought that piece of tripe was a good movie at one time.
I've been watching a cable channel called "The Tube" that is like MTV when they played videos. Its all videos, and videos that span from the 70's to current.
Seems like I am getting to experience some new music I would not normally have heard from a variety of times.
dook I have only one thing to say to you...
YOU BETTER BRING IT!
Anything insanely advanced by Andres Segovia. Now that old man kicked some classical guitar ass.
"Yonkers Come Here" was the last anime movie I have seen. Not terribly exciting I know, but my son wanted to watch it so we did.
I don't think he is a racist, I think he was feeling the heckler heat and made a gigantic error in judgement in how he lashed back. He crossed the line to vastly inappropriate, why? Only he knows...
I think back to the Seinfeld "Jerk Store" comeback..
After discovering that Riley was let go from the Yankees and now works for Firestone, George flies to Akron, Ohio, sets up a meeting, and brings a tray of shrimp just to try out the Jerk Store line. When he says it, however, Riley shoots back with "What's the difference? You're their all-time best seller." George, unprepared for this ends up using Kramer's line "Oh Yeah? ...Well I slept with your wife!" He is then told that Riley's wife is in a coma.
Just my 2 cents.
Ninjas have better access to citrus and women, plus who doesn't love personal pyro?
Kettle: "Hello Pot, this is Kettle."
Pot: "Hey Kettle, what's up?"
Kettle: "You're Black."
Lucas should recall Howard the Duck or Willow before slamming other films.
