I dunno, for me the muppets wins over sesame street every time.

Will you "get" it all immediately? Hell no. You have to work at some of it quite hard and I suggest you go right back to the beginning to get into it otherwise you'll understand the latest series even less.
See this is just what I don't like in comedy - call me odd but I like it to be funny without me having to work out my brain just to 'get it' :)
I know about the Monty Python thing - what can I say I'm on my own there.
Simon and me must be the only UK people that find The Mighty Boosh funny - everyone we know seems to find it hilarious. I've tried to find it humorous but for someone reason it's just not funny to me. Then again I have to be the only person in the world who doesn't like Monty Python - Simon does though so it's only me that is the full lack of humor freak :)
I'm at my desk listening to music and typing like a person possessed. All you can see of my though is my hands, crossed legs and hair (my hair has it's own mind and body mass so always sticks out) showing as there is a large black dog, which was once a cute puppy that I let sit in my lap while I worked and now assumes this is the usual position for him, but he doesn't fit so is attempting to bear hug me while I'm trying to work.
Mine are:
The Dark Crystal.
The Labyrinth.
The Goonies
Time Bandits.
Legend.
Beetlejuice.
Edward Scissorhands.
Bill and Ted's (insert any one of them here).
I like the fact she's extended the USA to include Iraq and South Africa. That's the ticket don't bomb people buy them maps - that will sort out world peace. And yes the US education seems to have done you so proud miss it should therefore be spread across the entire USA along with said maps - I propose you try the little known state of Australia next.
I have music constantly on all day so wouldn't even start trying to work that one out.
Needs a bevel emboss and a spinning globe for me to be fully sold ;) I'd really go for an animated email sign though as a substitute ;)
Seeing as I find something freakishly odd and disturbing about clowns (don't get me started on how freaky mime artists are they are the real weird outs for me), I'd have to go with Clowns as I'd just run away or have a freak attack. Pirates I'd be looking for sexy dredded Johnny lust objects and Ninja's I'd be going ooo cool at their moves.
Nodding with agreement at the best note ever - yay. Now if only we could stop the pokemon before it becomes Pikarules.
Yay I've had that song on my track list for a while - makes me smile everytime - hoorah for the salmon dance ;)
I still go with the treat others as you would want to be treated. I also think a lot of people ignore the more permanent nature of online. You may say something in passing or fleeting comment BUT it is text there for all to see (unless there is a delete button). Casual remarks offline can be less sticky than casual remarks online.
I got lost for a bit trying to work out what part was what .... eeeew that is one fugley looking mutt. It really makes me wander why some breeds were ever created that way - to scare other animals it was hunting?
Sean have you some NKOTB / Mark obsession you'd like to confess now?
Here is my top 10
Tony Basil: Hey Mickey
Adam and the Ants: Stand and delivery
Culture Club: Karma Chameleon
Dexys Midnight Runners: Come on Eileen
Madness: Our House
REM: It's the end of the world as we know it
Talking Heads: Road to Nowhere
Midnight Oil: Beds are Burning
Pop will eat itself: Can you Dig It?
Dr and the medics: Spirit in the sky
I think I have everyone somewhere I was introduced to them a few years ago also and still enjoy them. Their proper album has a few gems but not so - it's the mixing they excel at. Can't beat anyone who mixes dolly parton with ryksopp ;)
Aside Rich, you may want to try the 2 many djs stuff if you like this - assuming you haven't found them yet.
What a way to cheer up my rainy day... yay for muppets ;)
Noooo don't diss Willow.... potentially it is only me that loved that film. Although I was very young at the time and erm no erm (shifty look) not me sir with it in my dvd collection.... noooo I am far to grown up for that (rummages to put it on and take trip back down memory road).
Shiny moving things... just what my eyes needed - been distracting me for a few days now as I stare at it. I agree sometimes it's not totally in sync but that could be my grumpy itunes.
I was so happy I thought I wouldn't have to hear that tune again.... ye gawds I'm glad I didn't know about it before and not overly rejoiced I do now.... if there is any sanity left in the world please don't do it ;) Ok, there isn't any sanity left ... I'm doomed to see Scrivs do that tune and have to hear it a third time ;)
I am deeply concerned by that puppet and may need counselling now.
I am verging between midly and oddly disturbed myself.
Anyone else want the kitty to attack?
Poor kermit, his face is so cute int his picture, so awaiting the doom.
England has the May Day thing going on in various parts, where I live there is the 'loopy day' festival which basically means people do silly things like put stuffed toys on rubbish bins and other oddities. I thought it was usually in May but it may have been earlier and not be happening this year - I really try and block that day out of my mind in our village as we get stupid people wandering about and staring in houses.
It's that time again and I've posted up my blog club entry here - it's an interview with Richard and Volkher. Hope you enjoy it and thanks to them both for taking time to respond to my questions.
I agree with Gnorb really about needing to filter and focus that talent. Whilst I don't always think 'school' is the best route, I think for him it may also assist him in finding his place - I agree it doesn't want to be a traditional music school and more open to him exploring and fostering his talent not classical musical notation. Way I see it if you are with like minded people your place becomes easier to find and I think that would be open to him by going down that route. I thought of game music also when listening - along with animation. Whilst it used to get seen as 'game music' was along with session musicians a bad thing, it's not so and it is a actually a very good career to have. Potential is what needs to be tapped and by focusing his direction he will blossom I think and things will become far easier for him to deal with on a day to day basis.
Putting my old persons head on for a bit (well not over mid 30s ;)), the age he's act sucks - no better way of putting it. My late teens - early 20s were possibly the worst times of my life and it's that way for a lot of people. It often phases out end of 20s or 30s for people but after the teen years can seem like it will never end. Mine did and so will his I am sure. It's hard to see out of the black hole that your age forces you into sometimes.
If there is one piece of advice I can give him is to focus and use this time to lay foundations for the rest of his life. I focused myself on my career that I wanted and yes it didn't always go to plan and day to day I could have often quite cheerfully walked in front of a bus (well generally I wasn't cheerful about anything), however it's now just a memory or foot note in my life and not my life. I also know many others who had a real rough time of those years so it seems a common situation.
Well we shall what the patented husband random generator comes up with - or I may get time to work out something far more effective that yelling to the other room "Pick a number between..."
You could also do the communities you aren't in ;) It's about discovering new ones too ;)
So, is everyone done? Time to post your links if you are. I interviewed Michael as my blog club anime post. Thanks to Michael for being willing to get questioned and if you want you can read it here.
I've also just posted the next 9rules blog club post under the notes, this time it's the music community.
By the random selection of asking my husband to choose a number between the amount of 9rules communities we landed on music as the next fortnight's community. Yes I did have plans for a random generator but this is the ever so technical random number generator for now. With that decided I'd love to invite people to join in. i'm about to post my blog club anime post and even if you haven't already you can still post on that.
The way it will happen is from now until Sunday 11th you are invited to discover the 9rules music community and then from the 11th to the 18h (any time you want really), post about it on your blog. Then just link to this thread with what you wrote and we can all read each others.
I'd love people to get involved and look forward to seeing what people find in the music community. Here is a link to the 9rules blog club original post for you to find out more.
Ok, I need some emergency cheer ups so calling on all you funny girls and guys to give me some links to view tomorrow. Let's just say if this week was any more brown I'd be living in a toilet. I'm not going to bore and wallow cos did that for about 10 minutes today and that was long enough, before I jump out of the window I'm going to bed and hope to awake to a brighter happier morning - enter you and your happy links :)
Go on turn me :( to a :)
Just a little bump reminder that anytime between today and next Sunday start posting your links here for blog club Anime posts. Hope everyone is still up for this.

Independence day - god that was one awful film and walked out of it in disgust not watching the end. I even nearly got chucked out of the cinema for the first and last time ever due to hating it and being vocal - something I never have done over a film and doubt will again.
