So nice. Listened to it like 3 times in a row now. Catchy!

I concur. Cowboy Bebop is my favourite anime of all time (so far). The ending was perfect, and was one of the few series live or animated that made me gasp when it was over.
Also, one of the few series in anime where the woman isn't a bobble-headed high-pitched freak. Faye kicks serious ass. Though, scantily clad. LOL.
1. Amelie has the top spot for now for its quirkiness, humour, beauty, idealism, and pure joy. And come on, it's in France. Ah, c'est l'amour!
2. Before Sunrise and Before Sunset for those who want something simultaneously intelligent, adult, realistic, yet romantic. Yes, also features a Frenchwoman, haha. At least both films are in English. Please watch both! I actually find the sequel better than the first!
3. And then for those who want to remember young love, first loves: 2005's Peter Pan. Seriously.
I enjoy manga more than anime, actually. Most of the time, the little nuanced still drawings convey more emotion, and even action, than their anime counterparts. Also, the quality of art is more consistent (no rotating animation teams here!) and often, improves over the course of the series.
The Blade of the Immortal series, for example, is highly acclaimed (Eisner award-winning) and the creator claims he never wants to see the series turn into an anime... not that it matters, considering the manga manages to satisfy as-is.
Meanwhile, even for popular series, like Naruto and Bleach... I prefer the manga. :-D
They filmed part of this movie in my city because we have a historical site called Fort Edmonton that they thought matched the film. Meanwhile, the papparazzi was crazy. Angelina Jolie, Maddox and Zahara were also here, too. People stalked them while they were at the frigging mall. But apparently, were totally nice to everyone and didn't ask for special treatment.

This is also another convention I want to go to! Throughout the years, I've watched many online acquiantances turn into comic book professionals so it's also a reason to finally meet some of these people.
Anyone here going? If you do, make sure you go to the ONI PRESS booth and grab some Scott Pilgrim volumes from Mal. I think he'll even doodle in the cover for you! :-D

During the Simpsons when Stampy the elephant is placed in a natural habitat and he starts headbutting the other elephants and the explanation is, "Like humans, some elephants are just jerks." ... pan to Homer headbutting someone. HA!
