My Favorite Bernie Mac Clip

Humor Community — Posted: Aug. 9, 2008  ...   Last By: Scrivs @ 3 months ago

Bernie Mac was/is my favorite comedian. His delivery and technique were just hard to match. If you didn't hear he passed away and he will be missed. To remember him I wanted to show everyone my favorite comedic clip of all-time. Foul language so don't watch if that stuff offends you.

@RightOn: I don't have to go anywhere, we know you dragged her to that movie and when she tried to apply the moves you let it be known she wasn't going to ruin such a great cinematic experience.

If you ever been in our streamcasts and we do something called music trivia (yes we made that name up) and people seem to have fun. We toss out some points, maybe drink a little bit and listen to some good music. If you want to join in on the fun be sure to be there and bring your A game.

Musical decade suggestions are being taken. We usually hit up the 80s and 90s, but if you want more variety let me know.

Nothing at all wrong with a sensitive man, definitely something wrong with a man that goes to see Titanic 12x in the theaters though.

'Dark Knight' grosses $300M, shattering record

So the question is will this movie break Titanic's domestic record of $600MM? Oh and I've yet to see Titanic. Another fact that I didn't know was that Titanic had a span of 17 weeks (or maybe it was 14) at the #1 spot. How sucky were movies in 1997?!

NBC gives Fallon webisodes to hone his late-night chops

Television Community — Posted: Jul. 21, 2008

Jimmy Fallon, the American "comic" perhaps best known for thinking himself so funny on Saturday Night Live that he routinely cracked up at his own lines, isn't content with just profaning remakes of films like Fever Pitch; he's also slated to get his own late-night slot on NBC next year when Conan O'Brien takes over Jay Leno's Tonight Show spot. But NBC isn't tossing him out into the living rooms of America without some time spent first in the minor leagues—in this case, the web.

The Ten Worst Movies Ever Made

Movies Community — Posted: Jul. 21, 2008

After being forced to watch The Love Guru recently, I was appalled at the dreadful depths to which onscreen entertainment has fallen. The trashiness that saturates the programs offered for our viewing makes me feel physically ill—and secretly intrigued. I dug deep into the dark, hairy underbelly of Hollywood to uncover some of the other most tasteless, atrocious, and unprofitable films ever made.

10 TV Shows That Were Ripped Off By Other Shows

Television Community — Posted: Jul. 9, 2008

We probably don't even realize how many shows are "introduced" every year, and ultimately fall by the wayside, never to be heard from again. But sometimes a show comes along that influences American culture and other TV shows as well. Here's a list of 10 shows that influenced some copy-cats.

Movies Community — Posted: Jul. 7, 2008

With The Dark Knight set to follow Hancock, Wanted, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man into the theaters and hearts of cinemagoers worldwide, it seems that this really is the summer of movie superheroes. But what about Will Smith's earlier attempt to be a superhero and all the other superhero also-rans that didn't quite make it onto film? Under the jump, we look at five superhero movies that we're relieved didn't make it to a first day of shooting.

Is YouTube Killing Video Originality?

Entertainment Community — Posted: Jul. 3, 2008

After giving this some thought I come to realize that whenever anything hits the mainstream you are bound to see duplicates. When blogging became big you had to wonder if the publishing industry was going to take a hit or news media because if you looked in the same places you would always see the same writeups. Neither have suffered and originality hasn't suffered either.

As with video, the people that stand above the rest are pushing the limits and also know that originality is what gets them there. Sure you will see more and more of the same as people jump on ship, but that is because they are new. How many times do you jump into something new and do something completely original? It only makes sense to start off with some duplicating until you find your own "voice" and understand what you are working with.

10 Books That Were Better Off on Paper

Entertainment Community — Posted: Jun. 30, 2008

It's happened to all of us. We read a novel that blows us away, and a few years later its title appears on posters underneath the face of Harrison Ford or Natalie Portman. But at some inevitable point in that darkened theater, the movie takes a turn we didn't expect. Our eyebrows go up, our lips turn down, and the disappointment begins. Maybe the wrong director or writer can curse an otherwise excellent project — or maybe some things were just never meant to be filmed. Here are 10 books that we think should never have been committed to celluloid.

Well the old-schoolers were essentially making money the easy way. I know making it big is anything but easy, however you should never just sit back and expect nothing to change. Now they can't record an album and expect people to run and buy it. They have to get creative, which as artists you would think they could do.
