Older than I thought and the way he ranted you always thought he would have a heart attack right there on stage.
Older than I thought and the way he ranted you always thought he would have a heart attack right there on stage.
Anyone know exactly how old he was? He was a comedy genius.
When I first read the article I was a bit perplexed. An old rock band says they are just going to wait till the record industry makes a comeback and then start selling records again...
I didn't know it was cyclical like that or you could all of a sudden reverse technology AND time to get back to the "glory" days. Radiohead did nothing wrong, they decided to evolve while everyone else was hoping someone would come up with a solution to their problems. Yeah it sucks to be an artist and have all your work taken for free, but you deal with it and work with it.
Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to baby girl Maddie Briann this morning. The father is Jamie Lynn's boyfriend Cassey Aldridge (but don't quote me on that.)
I don't want to laugh. But yes, many of these people are now single.
Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III becomes the first album in more than three years to sell a million copies in a week. The opus sold 1,006,000 copies to debut at #1 on Nielsen/SoundScan's list of the best-selling albums in the U.S. That's the biggest sales week since another rap album, 50 Cent's The Massacre, bowed at #1 in March 2005 with sales of 1,141,000.
Bassist Gene Simmons says the British rockers – who gave fans the choice to download last year's album 'In Rainbows' for free or pay a sum of their choosing - says their decision is contributing to the demise of the record industry and insists his band would never follow suit.
A new clip from "The Dark Knight" is now available on the Joker viral site WhySoSerious.com, but what's cool is that if you go to one of many viral marketing sites for the film like GothamCityPizzeria.com and if you take a look at GOTHAM, the HA on the word moves, and all you have to do is click on it.
THE BPA 'TOE JAM' FEAT. DAVID BYRNE & DIZZEE RASCAL.
First time I haven't minded seeing censor bars ever.
Will Showtime's new ''Secret Diary of a Call Girl'' escort Billie Piper to stardom? It's too soon to tell, but in the movies, playing a prostitute is often a good career move, as these memorable on-screen trick-turners prove
In a year when making a straight-to-DVD sequel of a 24-year-old comedy (replacing Tom Hanks with OH-Face from “Office Space”) and a 2008 version of the eightiesest movie that ever eightiesed are both somehow acceptable, I feel it is more prescient now than ever to examine a list of Ten Sequels That Came Out Way Too Late in the hopes that history stops repeating itself again and again:
Pretty damn good memory.
That strategy makes sense. It can be difficult watching a good show in doses.
I'm not sure I would consider LOST a Sci-Fi. Hell I might even put Heroes more in the Action category than Sci-Fi.
@Kamigoroshi: How can you be an avid fan of Sci-Fi and not see the new BSG?
What impressed me most about this list is that it didn't default to Star Trek, Star Trek, Star Trek, although it is on the list. It actually gives it a good run at listing some great series up there and although there aren't many Sci-Fi shows in television history I think this list does a great job of presenting the best that I have a hard time arguing with. I saw a couple episodes of Quantam Leap and the whole plot behind it was always fascinating considering he ended up being a different person each episode.
And I was not aware Jerry O'Connel was the star of Sliders. That's some damn TV trivia that I need to know for no apparent reason.
A countdown of the top shows in Sci-Fi. If you are a fan of science fiction, don't miss a single one of them.
I think he handled it well and the looks on the girls faces was priceless. Don't mess with the show and you won't get messed with.
Well when it comes to shows like Seinfeld when does Seinfeld become the sidekick?
And Punky Brewster grew up to be hot.
A very underrated trilogy. Not superior, but well worth the watch.
I never had a chance to buy LPs since that was before my time (yes we had them in the house) so I don't understand what is truly being missed, but I can say it seems more nostalgic than anything. Things are too damn big to keep anywhere.
John Mayer has been spending a lot of time with Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox these days, and that got us to thinking (we’re very divergent thinkers) — if you could participate in a ménage à trois with two characters from any show in tv history, who would you pick?
Yeah he played it well, but I am not too sure...
*SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF THE IRON MAN CREDITS*

About Samuel Jackson playing Nick Fury, but could be interesting.

I would have like to see the worst shows of the 80's (which it primarily focused on anyhow) and then a counter with the best.
I agree and was thinking the same thing. It's virtually impossible to do worst sitcoms ever with the large amount being shown every year so a better breakdown is in order. Maybe we can come up with one. And you can't include Punky Brewster on a worst list. Punky rocked the house. I remember one episode they played hide and seek in a garbage lot and the kid hid in a refrigerator and it sealed shut (of course) and he couldn't come out. By the end they finally found him and the lesson was not to hide in refrigerators.
That's quality.
Reading more about it she is simply removing herself from a list of nominees, I thought it was the list of finalists. She probably wouldn't have been nominated anyways so to me she is simply sending a message to her writers and producers.
You could go the other route and say this is her being a snob to her writers and telling them to give her better material because she feels she is worthy of such material. But let's assume that isn't the case and in this instance she is acting quite noble. Of course if she gets nominated again this act of nobility will probably help her and some people will assume she won because of this act.
Before the Internet you have to imagine that being a celebrity wasn't easy because you have to maintain an image, but without an easy way to reach all your fans how was it really possible? Now with blogs and YouTube celebs don't have to wait on their publicists to get the world out to the media because they can interact with them anytime they want and however they want. However, you don't really see or hear of too many celebrities doing this and if they are you don't really see them doing it very well.
However, one person that definitely has her ear to the ground and has this thing down pat is Miley Cyrus. She has a YouTube show with her friend called the Miley and Mandy show and although I've heard about it I didn't pay much attention to it until I came across a dance video challenge.
John Chu, the director of Step Up 2 The Streets, issued an online dance challenge to Miley and Mandy and although the two demographics seem completely separated they pulled off the greatest YouTube collabo project I have seen yet. After the first challenge, both parties "stepped" it up and you can't even count how many celebs step in with cameos for both groups.
It's nothing but fun and gets fans of both groups involved and increases the awareness of everyone involved. A win win win situation for them, especially Miley who is showing her ability to read and understand what her core audience wants. You would think that Hollywood veterans with 10+ years of experience could do a better job than a 15 year old, but it doesn't look like it. Hopefully these aren't her best years and she doesn't start to get Britney publicity when she gets older.

Nick Hogan-Bollea's lawyers filed a response to the civil lawsuit filed by John Graziano's family. John was the passenger in Nick's car when it crashed and is now in a coma. But according to Nick's lawyer, John Graziano is also Satan himself. Okay, maybe they don't go that far, but they literally blame John Graziano for the entire accident and claim Nick did nothing wrong. Except, maybe got drunk and drag-raced. But, what's this? John gave him the beer?! You don't say.
This is what makes a great rock & roll guitar sound: an irresistible riff; a solo or jam that takes you higher every time you hear it; the final power chord that pins you to the wall and makes you hit "play" again and again. Every song here has those thrills. But these are rock's greatest guitar moments because of what's inside the notes: hunger, fury, despair and joy, often all at once. You hear the blues, gospel and rockabilly that came before, transormed by the need to say something new and loud, right away. Rock & roll has been the sound of independence for half a century. The guitar is still its essential, liberating voice. These are the 100 reasons why.
I recommend it if only for the animation aspect and some of the action scenes.
The trailer:
Damn you sure this isn't Appleseed Part III? What you are describing sounds no different than the two Appleseed movies, which almost makes me not want to check it out because I don't need that message driven into my head again. However, I'll scope it out if only to check out the animation because that team is great.
The first Appleseed I was able to watch from beginning to end, while the second one I had to fast forward a bit towards the end to move it along. Seems the guy gets so caught up in a message and the animation that he forgets how to move a story along.
Bill Murray's wife of more than 10 years, Jennifer Murray, filed a complaint in court against the actor. She alleges he physically assaulted her and suffers from severe drug and alcohol addictions. She's citing the complaint as grounds for divorce and is also seeking to have their prenuptial agreement nullified because of Bill's abusive behavior.
George Clooney has split with his girlfriend of almost a year, Sarah Larson, according to several reports.
Forgot to add Elektra to that as well.
